Our History
The Media Association of Solomon Islands (MASI) began in the 1990s. After the ethnic tension, the group restarted its work in 2005. However, MASI only adopted its first official constitution in February 2006. This constitution set out how media organisations in the Solomon Islands should operate. These organisations include newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and television outlets.
On 10 March 2017, the MASI Executive Committee made changes to the constitution. The MASI Leadership Forum approved these changes on 30 March 2017.Today, the MASI Board has a President, Vice President, and Treasurer. It also includes four other Executive Board Members.
